Does the below feedback from Infill Housing Phase 1 engagement in 2022 still reflect your sentiments about infill housing across New West? Are there other priorities you would like to highlight?
Participants shared overall support for allowing more laneway and carriage houses, and that the following are important planning considerations when implementing infill housing:
- reducing barriers by relaxing regulations,
- streamlining the development process,
- reducing costs,
- providing sufficient parking,
- protecting greenspace,
- supporting safety and vibrancy of lanes.
