Project Update, October 3, 2024: The results are in! Thank you to everyone for sharing your thoughts on the proposed designs for the Year One Routes. Click here to read the report!
Staff will be analyzing the feedback from the community to complete the designs for the Seventh Avenue West corridor. Stay tuned for more updates!
Improvements to Seventh Avenue are planned between 10th Street and the existing BC Parkway between 21st and 22nd streets.
This 2.6 km corridor provides access to Moody Park, Lord Kelvin Elementary School, shops and services on 12th Street, Grimston Park, 22nd Street SkyTrain Station, and the BC Parkway. The corridor also connects to the Queensborough Bridge and the pedestrian and cycling overpass across Stewardson Way and is part of TransLink’s Major Bikeway Network.
The proposed improvements for this corridor will build on the existing measures to slow down traffic and make it safer and more comfortable for people of all ages and abilities to walk and cycle.

2. Protected bike lane from 20th Street to the BC Parkway:

25 on-street parking spaces removed, including:
24 on the north side of Seventh Avenue from 20th Street to 22nd Street
One co-op / shared parking space on the south side of Seventh Avenue by the new crosswalk in front of the SkyTrain station
